If you ask any European for the city of fashion, shopping, and the best coffee in the world, many will reply “Go to Milan!”. This Italian city has a lot to offer, apart from Italy’s fashion and design, you can also enjoy various attractions here, about which I will write in a separate post soon.
In the heart of the city, at the Piazza del Duomo, is our hotel located – Sina the Gray. I saw on google maps that it was not far away from the Milan Cathedral, but I wasn’t aware that it is so close. 50 – 70 meter probably. Beeing here in the center has some great advantages for sure – you can spend more time in the place, where Milan’s life is actually happening, you can hear the music, played by a street violinist, when you open your hotel room’s window, you don’t have to carry your shopping bags too far, because your hotel is around the corner. Sina the Gray is a wonderful hotel – a mix of luxury, design and big city life. The hotel is small but very modern with warm colors inside and a unique pink swing in front of the reception desk. Lovely! From our apartment window, I can see the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II shopping arcade. Every room has that pretty dark brown wooden floors. I love it! It goes well with the modern design, African fabrics and decoration. It’s a place where you feel comfortable. Our room has a private Turkish bath included, as well as 2 bathrooms, and a separate room for our wardrobe. Our room was located on 2 floors. During my stay, the nice terrace at the top of the building was closed but there are enough beautiful terraces in Milano, I thought. I was very happy when the nice receptionist told me that it is only a 3-minute walk from here to La Scala Theater. I have already imagined me and my travel buddy walking to La Scala Theater in our high heels across and breaking our legs. The breakfast was really tasty, including lots of fresh fruits and juice, pastries, local products including Buffalo mozzarella and ham. Caroline, my friend, was very satisfied with her mushrooms-ham omelet and so was I with my vegan breakfast. By the way -there’s a great pizzeria next to the hotel and this time I just couldn’t resist of getting a cheesy pizza on our last day.
Below I am sharing some of my photography with you from the wonderful Sina the Gray.
Yummy! What a nice welcome <3
On the first floor, there’s a separate room for our wardrobe and a second bathroom.
Fall in love with all the wonderful musicians and artist performing live in front of The Duomo.
